STUDIO TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2025 – BINDING CONTRACT

PAYMENT AND PAYMENT OPTIONS                    

• R 410.00 – annual registration fee, annual payment.   
• Annual registration to Internation Solo DanceSport should be done on solodance.co.za (your teacher cannot do this registration for you)
• Examination fees – between R150 – R3000 per examination         
• Competition fees – between R200 – R700 per competition       
• Major production clothing between R150 – R700 -students get to keep all their show clothing                        
• Payment for the services provided shall be made in accordance with the debit order or credit card payments options. No cash or EFT accepted
• By debit order on the 25th of the previous month or 1st of the current month, to approved, tried, and trusted Sage Netcash  & PayFast
• PLEASE NOTE: Should Sage Netcash or PayFast debit order transaction be “returned” or unpaid, an R150 admin fee will be charged to your account. Should the returned payments not be paid, a bulk payment will be debited on the 20th of December 2025 for the outstanding amount.
• The contract is entered in respect of dancing lessons provided by Rhythm Image Dance Studio to you on behalf of your child. The studio will not send invoices to ex-spouses for payment. The person who registers and  accepts the contract terms will be liable for payments.
   
  •             The contract is entered a period of one year from January until December. Fees calculated annually, divided into 12 instalments
   
  •             The Dance School shall be closed during school holiday, which as been accounted for in the monthly instalments
   
  •             Each dancer will be allocated a specific day and time in respect of the relevant dancing lesson, during which period the dance instructor will be responsible for the well-being of the member and or your child.
   
  •             The dance instructor will not assume responsibility for the member and or your child for the time prior to and after the dance lesson, as the dance instructor will be busy teaching other dancers in the next class. It is best for parents to accompany their child into the studio and students are to be collected from inside the studio. The studio and teachers will take no responsibility for those who wait outside to be collected.
  
  •             A respectful code of conduct to be carried by both parties, dancers and parents will be held responsible for bullying verbally to own or other dancers or on social media, and the studio is at discretion to terminate contract immediately should the code of conduct is not adhered to.
   
   
   3.          CANCELLATION    
     
  •             Should either party elect to cancel the previously mentioned agreement, a period of one month’s notice is required from either party. The cancellation is only possible between the 1st February and 31st October 2025.
  
  •             Should the dance instructor be responsible for the cancellation of the contract,  
  then the member/person responsible for payment of fees will not be responsible for the payment of fees during the notice period.
   
  •             Should the member/person responsible for payment of fees be responsible for the cancellation of the contract, and then the member/person responsible for the payment of fees will be liable for the payment of fees during the notice period.
  
  •             Annual advance payments cannot be refunded
  
  •             Should any member/parent or guardian leave the previously mentioned Dance school, the issue of whether the member or child be re admitted will be the sole discretion of the dance instructor/teacher, who shall consider the merits of the matter in consultation with whomsoever she shall so desire.             
  
   4.     INDEMNITY  
   
  •             As a member/parent/guardian of the previously mentioned member, I hereby give permission/ grant permission for myself/ my child  
  
  •             As a member/parent/guardian of the previously mentioned member, I hereby declare that I shall not hold the Dance school and or its dance instructors liable for any damage or injury, sustained by the member or child, whilst the member or child is involved in practice, travel with studio /instructors to an away course, competition or show, as well as participation in any competition or show arranged by the dance instructor or the Dance school.
   
  •             As a member/ parent /guardian of the aforesaid member, I undertake to indemnify the Dance school and any of its dance teachers and or instructors against any and all claims by me/on behalf of my child and or any third parties arising from any cause of action whatsoever, as a result of any injuries sustained or loss or any damage consequent to the member or his property, during the course of normal dance lessons  and or any dance competitions and shows  as arranged through the Dance school at provincial, regional, national or international level.
   
  •             As a member/parent/guardian of the previously mentioned member, I accept that the Dance teacher will take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of myself/my child whilst the member/child is inside the Dance studio.
  
  •             Dancers are not permitted to use the International Solo DanceSport Syllabus for school concerts, talent shows or non-association competitions. The Syllabus of  International Solo DanceSport syllabus is copy-right.
  
  •             I accept that this contract is binding between the parties and any variation thereto must be reduced to writing.
  
   5.             DEBIT ORDER PERMISSIONS
   
  This signed Authority and Mandate refers to our contract as dated on signature hereof (“the Agreement”). I / We hereby authorise you to issue and deliver payment instructions to the bank for collection against my / our above mentioned account at my / our above mentioned bank (or any other bank or branch to which I / We may transfer my / our account) on condition that the sum of such payment instructions will never exceed my / our obligations as agreed to in the Agreement, and commencing on the commencement date and continuing until this Authority and Mandate is terminated by me / us by giving you notice in writing of no less than 20 ordinary working days, and sent by prepaid registered post or delivered to your address indicated above.
   
  If the payment day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or recognized South African public holiday, the payment day will automatically be the very next ordinary business day. Further, if there are insufficient funds in the nominated account to meet the obligation, you are entitled to track my account and re-present the instruction for payment as soon as sufficient funds are available in my account;
   
  Monthly –  on or after the dates when the obligation in terms of the Agreement is due and the amount of each individual payment instruction as specified above.
   
  I / We understand that the withdrawals hereby authorised will be processed through a computerized system provided by the South African Banks and I also understand that details of each withdrawal will be printed on my bank statement. Each transaction will contain a number, which must be included in the said payment instruction and if provided to you, should enable you to identify the Agreement.
  
  A payment reference is added to this form before the issuing of any payment instruction. I / We shall not be entitled to any refund of amounts which you have withdrawn while this authority was in force, if such amounts were legally owing to you.
  MANDATE
  I / We acknowledge that all payment instructions issued by you, shall be treated by my/our above-mentioned bank, as if myself /we had issued the instructions personally.
  CANCELLATION
  I / We agree that although this Authority and Mandate may be cancelled by me / us, such cancellation will not cancel the Agreement. I / We shall not be entitled to any refund of amounts which you have withdrawn while this authority was in force, if such amounts were legally owing to you.
  ASSIGNMENT
  I / We acknowledge that this Authority may be ceded to or assigned to a third party if the agreement is also ceded or assigned to that third party. In the absence of such assignment of the Agreement, this Authority and Mandate cannot be assigned to any third party.
   
  Debit order deductions will show as “RHYTHM IMA” on your bank statement.
